Sunday, October 11th, Pastor Chris will share his message:
Does life feel a little unsteady or uncertain right now? Maybe circumstances are changing, worries keep piling up, or you simply find it hard to feel at peace when so much seems beyond your control. The Good News is that God does not promise us a life without uncertainty but he does promise to be near, to hear our prayers, and to give us a peace that can steady our hearts in every season.
Join us this Sunday for our message, “The Secret of a Steady Heart,” based on Philippians 4:1–13, as we discover the peace, contentment, and strength that are ours in Christ. The other Scripture readings are from Isaiah 25:6-9 and Matthew 22:1-14..

Night of Worship - New Music & Ice Cream Social
Join us for a night of introduction to new songs released by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod on Sunday, October 18th at 4 pm. Ice cream social to follow.
Kidz Connection
Kidz Connection meets Sundays for PK-5th grade following praise songs. Kids should attend worship until the songs are done, then Pastor will release them to join in the ARK for Kidz Connection. (Activity bags are available for kids that want to stay in worship with their families.)
Starting Sunday, October 4th, we will be begin our curriculum called "The Biggest Story". Every week children will be given activity pages to take home. If they bring it back completed to Shannon the following Sunday, then they will earn a little extra prize/treat!

We will now allow parents to “pre-check” their child in BEFORE service…Shannon will be unlocking the ARK doors at 9:40-9:55 am for pre-check in. The area will then be locked at 9:55 am. The doors will remain locked until after the praise songs. We are hoping this speeds up the process and allows parents to stay in church during service. |
Nursery
Our Nursery is staffed on Sunday mornings. The room is also open for parents to change diapers or to have a place to nurse while still being able to listen to the sermon via the in-room speaker system. If you have any questions or concerns, please connect with Shannon Johnson at
Volunteers Needed

TETELESTAI Campaign
Have you heard about the TETELESTAI Campaign going on right now at Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship? Tetelestai in Greek means "It is finished" and was the final word of Christ when dying on the cross. He completed the work of salvation! We at Lakeshore want to "complete" payment of our mortgage - early! How early? This depends on the extra "blessings" of contributions to this fund. We are now accepting donations marked "Debt Reduction". After the mortgage has been paid off, we will continue the TETELESTAI Campaign thru 2028. This campaign will allow us to invest in much-needed facility improvements; including technology, HVACs and bring our kitchen up to code so we can better serve the community.

Governance Ministry Board meetings
Did you know that our Governance Ministry Board meetings happen monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Anyone is welcome to attend a meeting, but you first need to alert the Chairperson, one week prior to the meeting, letting them know what your concerns might be and how much time you may require at the meeting. GAME DAY with Pastor Chris!
This event is for ANYONE who likes to play games! Pastor Chris will be here to play chess with those who dare! Other games will be set up and ready! Join us on Saturday, October 10th at 10 am! Women's Fall Retreat
Women of Lakeshore EVENT CHANGED!!!
The Women's Weekend Retreat has officially been changed to a ONE DAY event and will take place in Nunica at Hathaway Lakes Club House, 16927 Birchview Dr., Nunica, MI 49448. A new sign up sheet will be at the Information Center.
This event will be on October 24th from 9:30 am - 7:30 pm. There will be breakfast, lunch, dinner, crafts, games, devotions and fun! Cost is $25 per person.

LUTHERAN YOUNG ADULT GATHERING 2027

Joining a Community Group at Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship is an amazing way to connect with our church family and its community! Many of these groups meet in homes either weekly/bi-monthly/monthly to connect with other Christians, offering a way to meet others, pray for each other and spend time in God’s word together. Men's Huddle - Weekly on Thursdays
Every Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, a great group of guys meet for a time of coffee, fellowship, prayer and projects. They make sure the baptismal font is filled, the candles are set for Sunday, chairs/tables are managed as needed and various other small tasks. Once completed, they meet for a time of fellowship and prayer. This group is open for any man that would like to join. Any questions, please connect with Randy Deater at 616-402-5248.
Men's Prayer Breakfast and Bible Study - Monthly
Meets every second Saturday of the month in the Atrium. Come anytime between 7–7:30 am for breakfast and then 7:30-8:30 am is the study & prayer time. All men are welcome to join Saturday, October 10th! Any questions, please call Randy Deater at 616-402-5248.

Mercifully grant, O God, that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts, for without your help we are unable to please you; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Remember in Your Prayers
Let us lift Craig and Dana Saunders up in prayer. Craig's mother, Sylvia Saunders, entered hospice care Sunday evening. She passed Monday evening with the family surrounding her. She's in Jesus' heavenly presence now and is reunited with her husband and so many others! May our Lord surround this family with his peace knowing that we can depend on His promise to be with us through life, death and now as Sylvia rejoices in her heavenly home.
Tom Spelman has asked for healing prayers. He was taken into the hospital with chest pain, emergency surgery was performed, and he is now doing well. He will be facing surgery on two arteries in approximately six to eight weeks. Please keep him in prayer as he mends from this first surgery and his body prepares for the more extensive surgery to come. We know God covers His children with blessings, and we thank Him for the surgeons and staff as they minister to Tom.

Did you know...Individuals age 59 1/2+ can make distributions from an IRA account? For those currently taking a "required minimum distribution" (RMD), there are added tax benefits. Starting in 2026, you may make a "qualified charitable distribution" (QCD) of up to $111,000.00 from your IRA and pay ZERO TAX, provided gifts are a direct transfer to Lakeshore Lutheran from your financial institution. These distributions also qualify as part or all of your RMD requirement. They may even lower your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI), which can help avoid higher Medicare Part B premiums and other income-based limits. If you are interested in blessing Lakeshore Lutheran with a charitable distribution from your IRA, please contact the church office or your personal IRA account representative. Thank you.

Bring in your empty printer/ink cartridges for recycling
Our office is collecting your empty ink cartridges and recycling them for savings at a local store. Please help us defray the cost office supplies. Bring in your empty cartridges and give them to the person behind the Information Center. (There will be a container under the counter for them to place them in.) Thank you all for this support!! Girls of Grace at Grace Coopersville Church...
Party of Parties Vendor/Craft Expo--Ready to do some Christmas shopping or shop for yourself? The Girls of Grace from Grace Lutheran Church in Coopersville is hosting the ‘Party of Parties’. On Saturday, October 24 from 9 AM – 2 PM, there will be home based business representatives & crafters selling food & kitchen items, home decor, toys, jewelry, cleaning products, beauty & make-up items, etc. The event will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 E. Cleveland St. in Coopersville. Proceeds from the registration fee will go to mission projects. Tables are still available if you are interested in being a vendor/crafter. Contact Joni at

Scrip allows us to order cards from thousands of merchants locally and nationally! You pay nothing extra for the cards, but a small profit from the sale of each card stays at Lakeshore.
