Worship

Sunday, August 24th

Isn't it great when you own something new and genuinely improved! A new car, a new iPhone, or new flooring in your house. Yet, all of our excitement over new things pales in comparison to the joy we will experience when King Jesus ushers us into a new creation on a new and improved earth. This Sunday we finish our Revelation series with the message, "All Things New!" based on Revelation 21:1-22:21.

Altar Flowers

Altar flowers are celebrate Lou and Dee Tripp's 60th Anniversary!

Altar Flower sponsorships are still for various dates in November. Please stop by the Information Center to sign-up.

Need Prayer?

Following our 10am worship service prayer partners will be available in the Prayer Room (the door in the Worship Center next to the kitchen). At the end of worship you are invited to come to the Prayer Room and receive prayer for whatever need you may be facing.

Worship Time for September

For the month of September we will remain with one worship service at 10am so we can prayerfully plan and prepare for returning to two services possibly in October.

Note of Appreciation

We would like to thank our Lakeshore family for your various notes, emails, prayers, phone calls, visits, etc. during the recent hospital stays of two of our family members Katie Albright and our father, Bob Holzinger. We definitely found strength and felt the power of prayer from being lifted up by so many of you. It's nice to know, especially at difficult times like that, we have the love and support of so many brothers and sisters here at Lakeshore.

Love, Jim and Hilda Albright & Barb and Rick Johnson

Faith Legacy

Faith Legacy Series is a DVD-based family ministry curriculum that helps parents be effective spiritual nurturers in the home from birth through high school. The classes include DVD teachings interspersed with small group discussions. The entire church supports families at the Blessing Events, which can happen during a worship service. Faith Legacy provides easy to use ideas and plans for parents to use at home. At the end of each faith step, parents are given the opportunity to speak a blessing over their child and present a blessing object. The object reminds the child of the discipleship skill they’ve been learning with their parents. To learn more, you can view the Faith Legacy Scope and Sequence on our website, www.lakeshorefellowship.com/grow/faith-legacy.

We will be asking for parents and volunteers to help. This volunteer effort is for only 3 meetings per year per age group. If you are interested in knowing more or are willing to lead a group of parents for your age child, please talk to Colleen Dierolf or Pastor Chris to find out more.

Prayer Requests & Praises

Remember in Your Prayers:

Union Micro Finanza would like prayers and God’s guidance on how to find more money to pay staff ~ Three Honduran men on staff have been making $380/month the last three years. They have families and really could use financial support. Andrew Boyd, Charlie Heins and Patrick Hughes humbly serve by working very hard to continue helping this poor area of Honduras. These men shy away from asking for money, so may God Bless them with the solution.

Jude Michael Pease (newborn son of Casey & Chris) is now home from the hospital!

Prayers for members in need of healing: Marge Lembke, Paulette Boeger, Katie Albright, Jenni Gesiakowski, James Sottovia and Gloria McAlpine.

Prayers for the many members of Lakeshore with loved ones in need of healing: Janice Beuschel’s mother, Lorraine Gatz; Dan Tooker’s mother, Phyllis Tooker; Hillary Eddy’s grandfather, Jim Eddy; Sherry Travis’ mother, Ruth Cooper (has pneumonia); Kelly Reyes’ mother, Peggy Holland (not doing well) and Hilda Albright’s dad, Bob Holzinger.
