“What About Gay Christians?" That's the question we will address this Sunday. On this sensitive subject we seek to be grounded in the truth of God's Word, but also to follow the command Jesus gave us to demonstrate His love to each person at all times no matter what. Our scripture reading is from Romans 1:28-32; 2:1-4; 3:20-24; 13:8-10.
The Altar Flowers are given in celebration of Randy and Vicki Deater's 35th Anniversary!
Mike Dorman on August 1st!We want to thank the many who supported SpringHill Day Camp this past week! We had 74 local kids attend camp and experience the love of Jesus. We especially want to thank our hands on volunteers and host homes as well as those who financial supported sending a child to camp. On Sunday, August 2nd, Pastor Chris will respond to questions provided that morning either written out or given verbally. It will be an exiting opportunity to hear him address questions in an "unedited and raw" way as he takes us into the Scriptures for the answer. Bring your Bible with you! Saturday, August 15th from 11am-3pm at North Shore Beach! We have the pavilion reserved! Pulled pork, prepared by our very own Greg Smith, will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass and enjoy games and fun in the sun!! There is a sign-up sheet at the Information Center to indicate if you will bring a salad, side or dessert.
Monday, August 3rd at 6-7:30pm. Games, activities, and fun! Join us and strive to “survive” the event! This will take place our property, outside the building. Please dress for the weather. Rain location will be inside. Please help us plan by signing-up today! Contact Colleen at 616-846-8556 or reply on next Sunday's Connection Card.
At the end of worship you are invited to come to the Prayer Room (the door in the Worship Center next to the Kitchen) and receive prayer for whatever need you may be facing. You may also write your prayer requests on the back of Sunday's Connection Card.
