Pastor Chris and Tracy Boehnke and Pastor Dieter and Ruth Haupt will be hosting a 13-day trip to Germany from September 25 to October 7, 2015. This will be an opportunity not only to see beautiful sights in Germany, but also to tour the places that were significant for the Lutheran Reformation as we celebrate its 500th Anniversary. Information brochures about the trip are available at the Information Center. Two identical informational meetings have been scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd at 7pm here at Lakeshore and Tuesday, November 4th at 7pm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grand Haven.

The Nursery Ministry desires to provide a safe, loving environment for children; so that parents can feel comfortable as they attend worship. It is located in the ARK and is open during our 10am worship for ages birth-18 months. Children 18 months-36 months should enter the Toddler Room and 37 months-K in the Pre-School Room. We have a paging system in the event you are needed during worship.Our nursery will be staffed during our 10:45am worship service ONLY. (During our 9am worship service, we allow parents to use our unsupervised nursery. The room has speakers that allow you to hear all that is going on in the worship center. The nursery also has a private room designed for nursing mothers.)
Please prayerfully consider serving in Nursery – 4th grade. How often you serve is up to you. Once a month or every week. No preparation required – all lessons and supplies are prepared and ready for you to serve each week. Requirements: we run background checks on everyone who serves in Children’s Ministry, be in the classroom at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the service, lead the lesson (story, crafts, games, etc), and stay until every child has been picked up. Contact Colleen if you are interested in serving. Sign-up sheets are also at the Information Center.
Please stop by the Information Center this Sunday to register your child for the 2014-2015 school year. ALL children need a new form filled out. Thank you for helping us best manage the Children’s Ministry Area!
Additionally, parents please pick up your children immediately after the service so that your child's teacher can have time to fellowship too.
We offer a $2 dinner from 5:30-6pm in the Atrium; then program begins at 6:15pm in the ARK. This year’s theme is “Out in the Wild - African Safari”. Journey with us through the plains of Africa on a Safari. A wild adventure awaits you!! See Colleen for details.Parents we want to keep all our children safe. If your child has food allergies or special needs, please let us know so that we can make name tags with an alert on them and let your child’s teacher know.

It’s our annual bike ride to raise money for Missions! We have 2 teams so far: Union Micro Finanza (UMF) and H.O.M.E. You are invited to ride with one of these teams or start your own team of bikers! Donations can be given to your favorite team! This Sunday, a representative will be in the Atrium with more information! This year’s event is Saturday, October 4th at All Shores Wesleyan in Spring Lake. Registration begins at 8am with the ride starting at 9am. Lunch provided! Please support our missions!!Lakeshore Fellowship has committed to a clean water project in Honduras to provide much needed fresh water to the people. More information will be coming, but our mission team will be going July 7-14, 2015 to work on it. A group of Grand Haven area church leaders are exploring Young Life and the possibility of bringing it to the Grand Haven area. Young Life is about impacting kids’ lives with the Gospel. This is a world-wide, non-denominational Christian organization that builds relationships with middle and high school students offering them a positive environment to meet with friends and grow spiritually. You (parents, middle & high school youth & other church leaders) are invited to come and learn about Young Life on Tuesday, October 7th, 7–8pm at the Grand Haven Community Center. We sell gift cards to dozens of local businesses and have access to order gift cards from thousands of national businesses! You pay nothing extra for the cards, but a small profit from the sale of each card stays at Lakeshore. This is a wonderful and easy fundraising program for non-profit organizations! We have many cards available in $ 5, $ 10 and $ 25 denominations. All make great gifts and support your church family here at Lakeshore!
