Sunday Sermon

When a couple has just been married or has had a baby they can’t wait to spread the news. When someone has seen a good movie or eaten at a great restaurant, they can’t wait to tell everyone. In our message series, Follow the Leader, we’re looking at how we’re being transformed by the Good News into the image of Jesus. So we serve others like Jesus because we‘re empowered to “Spread the Good News.” That’s the message for this Sunday from Luke 4:14-30.

Noisy Offering (to support Kids Against Hunger)

Annually, Lakeshore Fellowship supports "Kids Against Hunger" (KAH) by raising funds to purchase a "food packaging event" to help feed the hungry; locally and globally! One way we raise funds is by hosting a "Noisy Offering". We ask that people begin to save their loose change and plan to donate it this Sunday, January 22nd. We will have a special offering that morning, dedicated to support this project. There will be metal collection bins to make "a noisy offering". (We will also take paper money and checks.) Thank you all for your contributions! The KAH event will be on Wednesday evening, February 15th. More details on the event will be coming.

As a courtesy to our visitors, please keep the closest parking places, near the sidewalk, for our guests. We are now also reserving 2 specific parking places “just for visitors”. They are the first two spots before the Handicap spots, near the sidewalk. Thank you all for your willingness to give our GUESTS the BEST parking! (Hospitality Team members, please remember to bring the Guest Parking signs inside after second service. Thank you!)

Other News

Painting of the ATRIUM

In the past year we’ve had two teams – First Impressions and Assimilation – hard at work to help us as Lakeshore Fellowship to be more intentional in our mission. Both teams have given us regular updates and we have begun to see some good and helpful changes taking place to welcome guests and help people become a part of the Lakeshore family. These projects are all being funded with memorial money for our ministry. In a couple weeks you are going to a see a big change coming – a new look for Lakeshore’s atrium. The atrium is going to get a much-needed refresh as it is repainted with new colors that express a “splash of joy” that ties in with our water drop image and our mission of Joyfully Connecting People to the Love of Jesus. We’re excited about this new look and we hope you will be too.
